Jessica alba believes men should always pay for women on dates

Jessica alba believes men should always pay for women on dates.

The “Valentine’s Day” star says, : “Absolutely pick up the cheque. Hopefully your date offers, but that’s just a gesture. You should pick it up.” Alba also gives men some tips about ordering desserts. “You should talk about it. If she seems like the kind of girl that would appreciate you doing that you can try it but you have to rate her.

And you should also order two desserts. You should order the one that she’s going to order and the one that she really wants.

She explained,”I probably would want chocolate cake. But a lot of girls, especially in the beginning, will try to order something healthy even though they want something more decadent.”

Jessica Alba in 'Scarlet' Magazine

The best thing about being famous:
“Making lots of money has made me happy. No one else helped me - I’ve done this all by my self, on my own terms. My dad’s also turned his real-estate business round and doing really well, and my brother acts, models and does mortgages, so we’ve all come up in the world. Anyone out there who gets bullied should realise that they can take control of their lives and succeed”.

Describing her ideal man:
“I go for a shy, nerdy type of guy, and I always prefer older men. I’m pretty wary of really good-looking guys and actually, as an actress, you work with so many men, you become completely immune. Deep down it’s probably because they were always the ones who ignored me when I was younger. I feel much more at home with normal, regular guys. Older men are much more comfortable within their skin and are out to prove less”.

On doing a nude scene:
“No, i’ll never do a nude scene. I can act sexy and wear sexy clothes but I can’t go naked. I think I was always very uncomfortable about the way my body developed, and I remember my grandmother would freak out and throw a towel over me if she saw me wearing just a bra and panties. I come from a very Catholic family so it wasn’t seen as a good thing to flaunt yourself like that. I can handle being sexy with clothes on but not with them off”.

Jessica Alba Covers ‘Self Magazine’ February 2010

Jessica Alba looks adorable as ever in a DKNY top and Citizens of Humanity corduroys on the February 2010 cover of Self Magazine. Here are the fun facts the 28-year-old actress spilled:

On being a politician if she wasn’t an actress: “I used to think being a marine biologist would be the best thing ever, but now that I’ve grown up and seen things in the world, I think politics. Advocating and lobbying for certain issues would be a pretty interesting way to live your life… When I was in Washington, D.C., I got to meet Nancy Pelosi. She was so warm. I just grinned from ear to ear with my mouth open and my eyes bulging out of my head! Afterward, I called Cash and totally geeked out. I was beside myself. Tickled pink! The fact that a woman is speaker of the house? Oh, my God!”

On how she blows off steam: “Honor is the best cure for stress. When I spend time with her, I get instant perspective. I can be hard on myself if I don’t do everything perfectly. But now that I have her, there’s no time for that. I want to teach her that you can learn from your mistakes, and if you keep moving and stay positive and loving, everything will work out.”

On what she does in the Internet: “I’ve bought 70 percent of my house off CraigsList! I’ve found so many things: couches, tables, lamps. I love the idea of recycling furniture and there being a history there.”

On her marriage: “I love the way I feel after Cash and I wake up. Or talk on the phone. Everything! Every time I see him or talk to him, I fall in love with him all over again.”

On life in 10 years: “I’d love to be raising my kids on a farm in the South of France. My mother-in-law has lived there for more than 20 years, and she has a beautiful setup. I want to be able to allow Honor and my other kids, who I hope to be blessed with in the future, to maintain their innocence for as long as possible. There is so much time to be an adult.”
