Lady Gaga is now the Queen of Twitter!

Lady Gaga has shaken up the music world with her chart-topping singles, outrageous outfits and perfectly choreographed music videos. And now, the 24-year-old singer will dominate another forum: Twitter.

Gaga is set to usurp Britney Spears' Twitter throne by becoming the top user on the popular social networking site, reported Reuters.

According to social media statistics service Famecount.com, the internationally acclaimed singer is slated to pass Spears' more than 5.6 million Twitter followers by Friday.

After reaching her 5 million milestone in July, Gaga tweeted, "Here's to monsters, music, and 5 million of my closest friends! Cheers! I officially declare this institution 'Tweeterland!'"

Spears only reigned supreme for three months, after overtaking Twitter enthusiast Ashton Kutcher for the most followers.

Lady GaGa’s Monster Ball predicted to gross $200 million.

Just when you thought that Lady GaGa couldn’t get anymore successful, Billboard go and officially predict that by the end of it’s April 2011 run, her Monster Ball tour will have grossed around $200 million. She’s not selling out stadiums yet like her contemporary Pink, but it’s quite the accomplishment for an artist with only two studio albums to their name.

The Monster Ball first began back in November 2009, and by May, it had grown so popular that promoter Live Nation had to add an extra North American leg to the tour, extending it into 2011. It’s currently scheduled to wrap up in Atlanta on April 18, 2011, but additional dates are expected to be announced, which could either see GaGa fill her days off with extra shows, extend the tour past April, or do both.

A total gross of $200 million would probably make the Monster Ball one of the most successful female tours in history, by the time it wraps up. Of course, she’ll be dead by then from severe-exhaustion, but at least she’ll always be remembered as she is now — rich and thin.

Lady GaGa Considers Releasing 2 Albums Next Year

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning Lady GaGa revealed some surprising news. The chart monster let it slip that despite previously stating that she had completed her new album she has in fact returned to the studio and is considering releasing 2 records in 2011.

GaGa noted that her creative vigor was inspired by the overturning of California’s Proposition 8 last week. Check out what she had to say below:

“I felt like it was a revolution, like a gunshot went off, like it set us all into rotation,” Gaga said. “It was so exciting when it happened because it, for me, was a moment that indicated that it could happen in every state now…I was so happy and I went into the studio and kept writing [new music].”

She continued on to talk about how the new music would affect her forthcoming third album, that she has said in past interviews was already complete. “I know I told everybody my album was done, which is it kinda is done, but I can’t stop writing music. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I might have to put out two records.” {Source}

2 new albums from GaGa in 2011 would definitely prove to be a bit much. After releasing LP’s in both 2008 and 2009, and embarking on a world tour that has yet to end, I sense that consumers would experience GaGa overload. It may, however, be more plausible to release a double disc album or a standard/deluxe edition combo. Hopefully she makes the right decision.

No more Lady Gaga on MTV!

MTV, which brokered music videos into the mainstream, failed to reach an agreement with Universal Music Group and Vevo, the YouTube-esque music video site. Which means none of MTV's Internet properties will be able to show videos from UMG's artists, which includes Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga Earns Record-Breaking 13 VMA Nominations

Lady Gaga isn't just smashing records on the pop charts, she's also making awards-show history.

The Grammy-winning singer, 24, scored 13 MTV Video Music Award nominations Tuesday – the most ever received by any artist in a single year. The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. EST.

"I'm so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history," says Gaga. "Ironically, I'm even more proud it's an unlucky number: 13."

She adds: "A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous. Thank you, MTV!"

Among the lucky 13 nominations: best pop video, best dance music video, best female video and best choreography for her hit single, "Bad Romance."

The megastar is also up for best collaboration for "Telephone" featuring Beyoncé.

Gaga's toughest competition? Possibly herself. "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" are both in the running for best choreography and video of the year.

Lady Gaga is said to be developing her own perfume line in collaboration with Coty.

"The Poker Face singer is involved in developing a scent, which, according to insiders, will have an extremely "un­usual" fragrance.

The product, which will be released in time for Christmas, will be backed by a heavyweight marketing campaign, including TV ads.

The pop star has already rolled out her own fashion line, named Haus of Gaga. The perfume will be produced and marketed by Coty, which also makes Kate by Kate Moss.

Lady Gaga has 10 million fans on Facebook – thought to be the greatest number for any living person – as well as 4.8 million followers on Twitter, which outstrips even US President Barack Obama's 4.5 million.

Lady Gaga Remix Album Due In The U.S. Next Month

The LP — which has already sold 500,000 copies internationally — features 10 tracks, including a Passion Pit collabo.





Lady Gaga's fans in the U.S. will finally be able to pick up the pop star's collection of revamped hits, Lady Gaga — The Remix when the album hits stores Stateside on August 3. The album — which features reworked hits from production stars such as Madonna collaborator Stuart Price and artists like dance-pop band Passion Pit — has already sold more than 500,000 units internationally.

The album features 10 tracks from Gaga's albums The Fame and The Fame Monster. Gaga's Little Monsters can bump remixed versions of hits like "Alejandro," "Bad Romance," "Just Dance," "LoveGame," "Paparazzi," "Poker Face" and "Telephone."

Lady Gaga — The Remix should allow fans to experience the ubiquitous singer's major hits in a new way. Mother Monster is already cementing her superstar status by becoming the first living person to collect more than 10 million Facebook fans, a staggering figure that even bests President Barack Obama (Gaga also has more Twitter followers and YouTube subscribers than the prez).

The album should tide over Gaga's fans until the pop star unleashes her follow-up to The Fame Monster. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel: The star recently revealed that she has finished recording her next album. "I've been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it's finished right now," Gaga told Rolling Stone. "It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don't. I write music every day."

Man names daughter after pop icon, mother is pissed

Ian Clark of Northumberland has named his newborn baby Meggie Maisie Lady GaGa after his four-year step daughter suggested the name. As you might imagine, the baby's mother is pissed:

"I can't believe he actually went ahead and did it. Ian thought it was a really good idea but I told him no way. The registrar asked three times if there was anything he wanted to change about the name but he didn't back down. It's still strange to look at the birth certificate now."

The family is planning to get her name changed through the deed poll when she becomes legal.

The Celebrity 100, which includes film and television actors, TV personalities, models, athletes, authors, musicians, and comedians, is a measure of entertainment-related earnings and media visibility (exposure in print, television, radio, and online). Because of the growing power of social networks, we added a social media ranking that reflects each celebrity's presence on Facebook and Twitter.
