Angelina and James to Star in "The Golden Suicides"?

Have Angelina Jolie and James Franco joined "The Golden Suicides"? The project was written by iconic '80s author Bret Easton Ellis and then later, Portland-based indie filmmaker Gus Van Sant was brought on board to help with the screenplay.

The rumor, if you can even call it that, was first picked up by CinemaTeaser in France. However, it all starts with Easton Ellis himself, who wrote over Twitter, "Keep looking at the script...Angelina and Franco for Theresa and Jeremy?...It doesn't matter...I wrote it for them anyway...I just spaced..."

As Premiere speculates, is Easton Ellis hinting at something he knows is in the works? Doubtful. Screenwriters often write for certain actors in mind, but that doesn't mean they'll get them. Then again, it is a fascinating story and the two could eventually be interested, but it feels like early days and Easton Ellis says he just finished the screenplay.

Brangelina break up? Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie meet lawyers to divide fortune, share custody: report

Say it ain't so - Brangelina might soon be just Brad and Angelina.

The Hollywood power couple is headed for splitsville, London's News of the World reported Saturday.

Citing sources, the paper says Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have met with California divorce lawyers and have agreed to divide their vast fortune.

In legal papers signed this month, the world's most famous couple has also agreed to share custody of their six kids, sources say.

"The document was signed in early January," a source told the British tabloid.

The contract, signed by Pitt and Jolie, is similar to a pre-nuptial agreement.

"It seemed clear they want the world to know they'll both play a part in the upbringing of the children," the source said. "But Angelina will actually be the one who lives with them full-time."

Pitt, 46, will have full access to their three biological children - Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne - as well as the three adopted children - Maddox, from Cambodia; Zahara, from Ethiopia; and Pax, from Vietnam.

The couple, who never married, have been together since shooting the action film "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" five years ago, when Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston.

Pitt and Jolie, 34, have not been photographed together in recent days, fueling reports that their story-book relationship was on the rocks.

On Jan. 6, the National Enquirer reported that Pitt and Jolie had a heated argument inside the Alto restaurant in Midtown.

The magazine said Pitt demanded Jolie get psychiatric help for the depression she has suffered from since the death of her mother three years ago.

Pitt was photographed Friday night backstage at the "Hope for Haiti" telethon in Los Angeles but without Jolie.

Reps from both the Pitt and Jolie camps declined to comment yesterday.

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp's Possible Sex Scene in 'The Tourist' Described

Words on the street are Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp are going to be seen hooking up in upcoming film, "The Tourist". Life & Style magazine claims they have got their hand on a draft of writer Julian Fellowes' screenplay, and it mentions a steamy shower sex scene between Jolie's Interpol agent Cara Mason and Depp as American tourist Frank Taylor.

According to the script draft, Frank will approach Cara when she is naked in the shower. "Walking in, he lifts Cara against the glass, clutching at her slithery body, kissing her frantically. She kisses him back with ardour, wrapping her dripping legs around his back," so read the script.

Cara later turns abruptly to Frank and presses her body against his. The script then continues, "He's taken by surprise but willingly responds to her advance, wrapping his arms around her back. They exchange a long, passionate kiss."

Depp was first reported being in talks to join Jolie in the thriller film earlier this month. At that time, Variety mentioned that the "Pirates of the Carribean" actor will take on the role of an American tourist who is being used by Jolie's Interpol agent character to locate a criminal who was her ex-lover. The same role once belonged to Sam Worthington before he left the project due to creative differences.

Julian Fellowes teams up with Christopher McQuarrie and Bill Wheeler in writing the script. Meanwhile, Columbia Pictures is looking for a new director after Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck dropped out of the project. Slated to be a 2011 film, "The Tourist" is expected to start its production in February 2010.

Vanity Fair's New Establishment '09 released: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie= Highest ranked power celebs after CEOs

Vanity Fair's annual "New Establishment" list is out—the highly subjective guide to the 100 most important people in the Information Age, or in Graydon Carter's (Editor-in-Chief's) world.

At the top of the list are the world's corporate power players - CEOs of Goldman Sachs, Apple, Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, Google, BlackRock, and News Corp. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt come in at #8, the highest ranked celebrities on the power list:

8. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (Actors, activists) LAST YEAR: 9.
STAGE OF GLOBAL CONQUEST: The tabloid-haunted, globe-trotting couple reminded us that they both can really act with Pitt’s Oscar-nominated performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Jolie’s in Clint Eastwood’s Changeling.

VOX POPULI: A campaign formed on the Web to recruit Pitt to run for New Orleans mayor even though Pitt hasn’t lived there the requisite five years—Pitt, 45, and Jolie, 34, spent $3.5 million for a French Quarter house in 2007. He isn’t even registered to vote there, and when asked by the Today show’s Ann Curry whether he would enter the election, he replied, “I’m running on the gay-marriage, no-religion, legalization-and-taxation-on-marijuana platform. I don’t have a chance.”

BRAGGING RIGHTS: Jolie’s $27 million in earnings put her atop this year’s Forbes “Celebrity 100” list and ahead of erstwhile romantic rival Jennifer Aniston (who was quoted in Vogue as saying that it was “uncool” for Jolie to talk about how her relationship with Pitt developed while he was married to Aniston). Pitt, meanwhile, scored box office success with Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

LATEST ACTS OF DO-GOODERY: The couple’s foundation donated $1 million to the United Nations to help the hundreds of thousands of refugees from violence in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It also donated $1 million for a cancer center in Springfield, Missouri, named after Pitt’s mother, Jane. Pitt gave $100,000 to the No on Prop 8 campaign in California and said that he and Jolie won’t get married until gay people can, too.

Others on the power list: Steven Spielberg (#11), JJ Abrams (#27), Judd Apatow (#29), Oprah (#38), George Clooney (#39), Meryl Streep (#40), AND STEPHENIE MEYER (#100)
