Although Mary-Kate Olsen and her beau Nate Lowman were seen walking together February 4 in New York City, the couple have officially split, a rep for the actress confirmed to PEOPLE. The couple started dating in 2008 after meeting through mutual friends.
The break-up news comes just one week after rumors flooded the Internet that Olsen was spotted at the Weinstein Co. and Universal Pictures post BAFTA party in London last weekend kissing actor Josh Hartnett.
"They were making out in a dark corridor of the party," the source told PEOPLE. "Everyone danced all night." Olsen's rep denied the two were kissing.
Last year, Olsen's rep told Us Weekly that tabloid rumors that the actress and Lowman were engaged were "untrue."
But Olsen doesn't seem too distraught about the breakup. She was recently spotted with her sister Ashley attending shows at London Fashion Week.
