Best Movie Kisses Ever

Celebrate Valentine's Day with some of the most romantic onscreen smooches, from 'Gone With the Wind' to 'The Notebook.'

Titanic

When Rose (Kate Winslet) and Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) kissed on the bow of the ship, 1997 hit 'Titanic' went down in history as one of the most romantic films ever created.

Gone With the Wind

This 1939 classic movie has at least three major candidates for the list, but Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh's smooch on the road to Atlanta has to be the best.

"Nevermind about loving me. Scarlet, kiss me. Kiss me."

The Notebook

Possibly the ultimate chick flick, 2004's 'The Notebook' caused girls everywhere to swoon when Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling) kiss passionately in the rain after seven years apart.

Lady and the Tramp

The only animated film on our list, this 1955 Disney feature contains the adorable meatball scene. Cocker Spaniel Lady and mongrel Tramp share a romantic Italian dinner and kiss after nibbling on the same strand of spaghetti. Awww!

Romeo + Juliet

Leo again! Baz Luhrmann's take on the Shakespeare classic featured a hot '90s soundtrack and even hotter love scenes between Romeo (DiCaprio) and Juliet (Claire Danes).

Ghost

Who didn't choke up when Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore shared up for a pottery session set to 'Unchained Melody'?

It's a Wonderful Life

In this 1946 Christmas classic, Mary (Donna Reed) and George (James Stewart) expressed their pent-up love after sharing the receiver during a phone conversation. Wedding bells followed.

Pretty Woman

The cheesy 1990 movie about a hooker with a heart of gold (Julia Roberts) and her wealthy client (Richard Gere) had a Cinderella ending, with Edward climbing up Vivian's fire escape. Sure it was wildly unrealistic, but it was so fun.

"So what happened after he climbed up the tower and rescued her?"

"She rescues him right back"

Brokeback Mountain

The 2005 Oscar-winning cowboy love story saw ranch hand Ennis (Heath Ledger) and cowboy Jack (Jake Gyllenhaal) fall in love. During a reunion, the rugged pair share a passionate kiss ... which is seen by Ennis' wife Alma (Michelle Williams).

From Here To Eternity

The iconic beach kiss between Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr created screen magic back in 1953.

Love Actually

Though this 2003 film is rife with romantic moments, the sweetest is when Juliet (Kiera Knightley) opens the door to find her husband's best friend professing his love for her with a series of signs.

She runs after him and kisses him out of compassion, allowing him to move on.

Dirty Dancing

In another Patrick Swayze moment, a public kiss with Baby comes after falling in love in private.

Bridget Jones' Diary

The end of this modern romance finds Bridget (Renee Zellweger) running into the snow in just her panties and a coat to kiss Mark (Colin Firth). Adorable.

Casablanca

Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman at the end of 'Casablanca'? Classic.

The Princess Bride

In 1987 it was all about Buttercup and Wesley.

"Since the invention of the kiss there have been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind."

Spider-Man

The only action flick kiss on the list, 'Spider-Man' gets recognized for the original scene between wet t-shirt wearing Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) and Spidey (Tobey Maguire).

The super-hero drops upside down in front of Mary Jane, she peels back his mask to expose his lips, and they kiss before he disappears.

Sixteen Candles

In this 80s classic, everyone forgets Samantha's (Molly Ringwald) birthday, but at the end of the film, she shares a romantic kiss with the guy of her dreams over a cake lit with sixteen candles.

Reality Bites

Best friends Troy (Ethan Hawke) and Lelaina (Winona Ryder) kiss at the end of this definitive Gen-X film.

My Girl

In one sweet, innocent scene, childhood best friends Vada (Anna Chlumsky) and Tomas J. (Macaulay Culkin) share a first kiss.

Rebel Without a Cause

In this 1955 flick, Jim (James Dean) and Judy (Natalie Wood) confirm their love with a kiss during a sleepover in an old deserted Los Angeles mansion.

The Wedding Singer

The sparks fly between Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in this 1998 romantic comedy. Julia shows Robbie the meaning of "church tongue" in this cute scene.

When Harry Met Sally

The New Years' Eve kiss shared by Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) is the highlight of this 1989 romantic comedy classic.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) jumps from her taxi to smooch her love in the rain at the ending of this classic film.
