'Batman 3,' Megan Fox May Get "Catty" for the Film
The latest rumors are in on the upcoming Batman film, which will be the third installment in director Christopher Nolan's re-imagining of the caped crusader. The major casting rumor is Megan Fox may be portraying Catwoman in the yet untitled film. The latest casting rumor follows other major speculation, most notably Eddie Murphy as the Riddler and Shia LeBeouf as Robin. While nothing is for certain, major speculation has surmounted to near certainty despite the fact that Nolan is not talking.
Fox is best known for her role in the two Transformers films, and the role of Catwoman would undoubtedly be a major step forward for the actress, as the film will surely make insurmountable amounts of revenue. If speculation comes to fruition then the third Batman film could end up being a Transformers reunion with the joint casting of LeBeouf and Fox. Still nothing is certain, save the fact that Nolan is preparing to begin production on the third Batman film in 2010.
Christian Bale and Gary Oldman will reprise their respective roles, as Oldman was very open about the preparations for the film while attending this year's comic-con. Oldman was at the event to discuss his upcoming film, The Book of Eli, which stars Denzel Washington. Though The Book of Eli was supposed to be the topic of discussion, eager fans could not deter their thoughts from the follow-up to The Dark Knight, which was the second highest grossing film of all time.
Fox is a simple casting rumor, she follows a similar rumor that placed Rachel Weisz in the cat suit. Fox could easily slip into the suit herself, as she has one of the most talked about physiques in Hollywood, but her acting chops are debatable. Nolan's Batman films are incredible for their effects as well as the substantial talent that inhibits each respective role. While Fox is a speculation with heavy consideration, only time will tell if Fox has the ability to undertake the major task of becoming one of Nolan's infamous Batman characters.
