“I honestly look up to her in so many ways. I’ve been to practically every single one of her concerts and I’ve never even met her!” The next day she tweeted “Miss Perry put on an AMAZING show last night. She's SO good!”.

At the venue, Katy sat down with SoundsofBuzz.com for an exclusive interview where she talked to Marc Malkin who was reporting for SoundsofBuzz.com and E! about winding down after months on tour, the passing of friend DJ AM, and her upcoming stint on American Idol:

I might become a little bit of a buddy with [tart-tongued judge] Simon [Cowell], because whenever I watch that show, as much as he's an a*shole, he's a very truthful, honest a*shole," Perry says. "I'm not there to build them up, buttercup.”
On DJ AM’s passing, Katy commented,
“I only met him a few times—but every time I've met him, he was such a wonderful person—full of life, very bright. [His passing] reminds everybody just to live life to the fullest and love the people around you and don't ever hold back."

Kim Kardashian, a big fan of Katy’s unfortunately missed the show when she and friend Ciara got pulled over in Beverly Hills en route to the Palladium. Kim tweeted: “Ciara & I got pulled over on our way 2 Katy Perry concert”
